Job Description
Company & Role:
Our client is a global built-asset consultancy concentrating in the energy, property, transportation, utilities, public, energy and manufacturing sectors. They are currently looking to recruit Project Quantity Surveyor to work with on a number of high profile hotel and leisure projects within London and the South East.
This role is maternity cover on a 12 month fixed term contract however, with a number of recent wins, future hotel projects in the pipeline and, growing optimism in the London property market, it is possible this role could become permanent at the end of the term.
Requirements:
You should be self-motivated and with the ability to work autonomously on tasks, estimates and so on. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and managing service excellence in Quantity Surveying solutions; delivering positive outcomes for our clients; providing leadership and coaching to Quantity Surveyors and, driving the innovation of service plus, as well as capturing and sharing knowledge.
Skills / Experience:
Excellent pre and post contract technical quantity surveying & commercial management skills
Measurement, feasibility and cost planning experience; procurement and post contract
Running of small to medium sized projects, ideally in the hotel sector with senior support
Articulate in written and oral communication
Excellent prioritisation and self management skills and ability to work in a high pressure environment
An in depth knowledge of different construction processes
Strong knowledge and track record in application of IT
Qualifications:
Proven track record with relevant experience
Recognised degree in Building, Quantity Surveying or relevant discipline preferable
Desirable:
Experience should ideally include working within a professional practice or consultancy environment
preferably MRICS qualified or working toward Chartered Status
