Job Description

Would you like to join a leading Global financial institution?

This company is looking for talented BDM's to drive business forward within the corporate foreign exchange sector.

High basic salary, attractive commission structure, car, and benefits.

The Business Development Manager will identify, create and pursue new business opportunities in the corporate foreign exchange sector. This person will be responsible for establishing new business relationships and effectively identifying and communicating appropriate foreign exchange solutions. Ability to communicate, present and negotiate with executive level positions within a prospective company both over the phone and in person is essential for success in this position.

The goal of the BDM is to establish rapport and build credibility with clients through effectively presenting solutions that encompass the clients entire international payment needs.

Essential Responsibilities

Meet and exceed sales targets.

Contact prospects and set appointments with new business opportunities.

Market and close sales opportunities for this company’s foreign exchange products and international payment services.

Cold calling and participation in telemarketing activities and initiatives to prospective clients.

Build and maintain strategic business relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Develop and utilise networking opportunities to establish this company as a credible member of the professional community and to identify and create new business opportunities.

Research and analyse clients’ business objectives, identify their foreign exchange and international payment requirements, and design a benefits-based solution and action plan demonstrating how this company can meet client needs.

Develop sales strategies and plan to best position products and services.

Manage the complete sales cycle process to ensure maximum productivity and completion of sales/pipeline reports, and competitor information.

Implement marketing/brand awareness campaigns for prospective clients as well as conduct ongoing analysis of the market to identify business opportunities.

Communicate customer requirements, sales, and lead information with the trading team and management.

Adhere to Compliance, and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, as well as all company policies.

Represent this company in a professional manner at all times.

Establish a productive sales/dealer relationship.

Demonstrate commitment to continuing education and knowledge of this company’s products and services, as well as the foreign exchange industry in general.

Develop and maintain sales pipeline through this company’s CRM system.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum 2 years of business to business solution sales experience with a proven track record - essential.

Experience in the financial or technology industry - an asset.

University or college education with an emphasis on international studies, economics, marketing, or finance – highly regarded.

Business to business (B2B) sales ability.

Exemplary communication skills – verbal and written.

Demonstrated negotiation capabilities, with an ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships.

High degree of self-motivation, combined with effective organisational and time management skills.

A tenacious approach; and possess a positive attitude toward and ability to effectively adapt to change.

High degree of professionalism, with a confident and persuasive manner.

Excellent interpersonal and formal presentation skills.

Superior customer service skills with a focus on building customer loyalty.

Focus on continuous learning – active in seeking out new areas for learning.

Strong collaborative and team building skills.

Computer proficient and an interest in developing technology.

Familiarity with the sales region - an asset.

Knowledge of the international payments marketplace - an asset, but training will be provided.
