Job Description
Our client is a global built-asset consultancy concentrating in the energy, property, transportation, utilities, public, energy and manufacturing sectors. They are currently looking to recruit a Strategic Planner with Aviation Experience at Heathrow.
Job Role:
- Develop/update project/sub-programme/programme Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) as part of the periodic IBR review process, maintain the integrity of this baseline through robust change control
- Provide schedule impact assessment information in support of the PMB change control process
- Validate suppliers schedule impact assessment submissions in support of the change control process and oversee the maintenance of suppliers contract baselines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an experienced planning / scheduling capability to establish / maintain integrated performance baseline schedules (in line with the IBR and Change Control procedures).
- Working in conjunction with suppliers, ensure approved contract baseline schedules are established and maintained (in line with Contract Change procedure)
- Validate construction methodologies, resource and cost loading, activity durations, schedule logic, float allocation and critical path identification within suppliers submissions in support of HAL contract programme approval obligations.
- Maintain schedules in Primavera P6 and consistency / alignment with Artemis and Oracle databases.
- Provide accurate and timely Project data to meet HAL Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) requirements.
- Maintain currency of Project plans and schedules at Level 4 and below where not assigned to a third party (supplier)
- Support / facilitate schedule risk analysis on a periodic basis.
- Provide advice on the schedule impact of proposed change and integrate approved changes into baseline updates.
- Work with Risk Managers and project teams to identify and incorporate risk mitigating actions into the planned work scope and to incorporate appropriate time/cost contingency levels across the baseline schedules.
- Lead/facilitate collaborative planning workshops and provide presentations, coaching and facilitation in the use of Artemis and Primavera software.
- Achieve compliance with HAL's Project Execution Requirements (PERs) and project/programme governance procedures.
Essential:
- Key to this role is P6, QSRA and EV (earned value). A collaborative working approach with some aviation experience is necessary.
- In-depth and broad understanding of project controls as applied in major construction environments, coupled with extensive expertise in the development/maintenance of project and programme baselines principally within a Primavera P6 toolset.
- Engineering based degree or equivalent, project management qualification (APMP etc) and extensive experience of maintaining project/programme performance baselines and their utilisation in generating earned value based management information.
Desirable:
- Experience of complex construction projects within operational airport environments would be beneficial.
