Job Description
Company:
Our client is a global built-asset consultancy concentrating in the energy, property, transportation, utilities, public, energy and manufacturing sectors. They are currently looking to recruit an FM Consultant
FM Consultant Role:
The consultant will be responsible for delivering FM consulting commissions and reporting to an Associate.
The role involves providing FM related project management, procurement management and technical advice on behalf of a portfolio of Public and Private sector clients principally on PFI/PPP projects in the UK and mainland Europe. The successful FM consultant will join a PFI Consultancy team within the Public Private Finance Consultancy department delivering FM Consultancy advise to public & private sector clients including, Hospital Trusts, Local Authorities, Government Departments, Banks / Funders and Service Provider / Contracting organisations etc.
Responsibilities:
You will be required to work within a busy team supporting an Associate/Partner in delivering services on a variety of projects.
Services will include assisting in:
Supporting with the management of the PFI/PPP procurement process on behalf of public sector clients.
Supporting FM Supply Chain Procurement commissions.
Supporting with the managing of bid teams on behalf of private sector bidders.
Assisting in the production of business cases.
Surveillance of asset performance through the operational phase on behalf of public or private sector clients.
Carrying out FM best value / audit reviews
Drafting service specifications and advising upon associated performance measures.
Reviewing commercial and technical FM issues e.g. Payment Mechanisms
Drafting detailed reports
Planning and Project Managing commissions
Skills / Experience Required:
The consultant will support and be supported by a strong team with multi-disciplinary experience when delivering these services. As such, they should possess good inter-personal skills, be able to work individually and as part of a team, and be able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels including Lenders, Authority Directors, lawyers, design team consultants, project managers and contract managers.
The consultant should possess a good understanding of project management and a technical background would be an advantage.
Abilities must include:
Computer Literate, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project.
Report Writing
Work to deadlines
Good communicator both internal and client facing
Robust opinion former
Experience and knowledge of the delivery of FM services.
Experience of Pubic Sector clients e.g. Health, Education & LA etc. would be an advantage.
Knowledge of PFI would be desirable.
FM related experience.
Likely to be a qualified FM practitioner or working towards full membership of BIFM/CIBSE or other professionally related organisation.
