Job Description

Company:

Our client is a market leader in the design and installation of mechanical, electrical and telecommunications services across the entire UK rail and underground network. They have successfully delivered award-winning major station upgrades and installed systems at all the country’s major hubs together with those at over 200 regional, local and underground stations.

They provide a comprehensive, integrated service that takes projects from feasibility through asset surveying, design and installation to commissioning, end-user training and maintenance.

Role:

Senior M&E QSs Required: Reading - London - Manchester

Experience Needed:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar

• Significant experience of M&E Contractor Industry working into the rail sector

• Experience of stations upgrades and M&E systems including new build facilities, depot extensions, refurbishments and improvements, service control centres, refuelling systems, cleaning, bogie drop and wheel lathe facilities, traction shore supply systems, centralised compressed air and vacuum installations and power supplies

• Must be fully conversant with all pre and post contract procedures, final accounts, variations, sub-contractor payments etc

• Must have excellent communication skills

• Must be able to understand the relevant NEC contract types with rail

• Able to use the relevant IT packages

• Must be in easy commuting distance from Reading, Central London or Manchester
