Job Description

Project Analyst - Housing, Regeneration and Environment

[temporary, but potentially long term role – see below]

  • What’s involved with this role:

The methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of the technical requirements that will make up a procurement for IT hardware or services. Knowledge of public sector procurement process.

The specification and design of information systems, specifically infrastructure and its interfaces to core systems that support the organisation, The ability to translate technical requirements into business requirements and vice versa.

The management of work packages involving the development and implementation of information systems to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.

The main focus of this particular role is analysis, report writing & documentation, and project management of technical projects.

  1. UK working experience
  2. Minimum of 12 project analyst experience, preferably within a large (ideally public sector) organisation
  3. Knowledge of IT infrastructure (preferably SAN, virtualisation and Active Directory)
  4. Experience of writing requirements specifications for infrastructure procurements and project delivery
  5. Experience of public sector procurement processes, either in writing documentation to support the process or as part of an evaluation team
  6. Microsoft Office skills
  • Other preferable/desirable details to include on your CV, if applicable:
  1. Any local authority experience
  2. Any relevant qualifications held or being studied for
  • Client: Public sector organisation
  • Division(s)/Disciplines involved: Housing, Regeneration and Environment/Analyst
  • Anticipated Length of Assignment: All of our roles are designated temporary, though in practice we find that the vast majority of them get extended on a multiple/long term basis. This one is expected to be for 3 months, initially.
  • Hours per week: 35-37 (tbc) Monday – Friday, normal working hours
